Anti-wrinkle treatments involve using a medicine called Botulinum Toxin A which is commonly referred to as Botox. Botox is used in cosmetic medicine to create a fresher and more youthful appearance. This treatment temporarily relaxes the treated muscles to allow any wrinkles caused by the constant movement of these muscles to gradually soften. The overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while the untreated facial muscles continue to work normally so your facial expression is unaffected by the treatment. Patients look the same as they always have done, only more fresh and rested.
It is very important that to avoid the ‘frozen’ look, we start with the smallest effective dose. This is the most reliable and effective way of achieving subtle beautiful results.
Wrinkle relaxing treatments are primarily used to treat:
• Frown Lines: by relaxing the muscles that create the vertical “11” lines between the eyes
